Mumbai, August 23: On 22nd August, 2021, an auspicious day of Rakshabandan, a Vaccination Camp was held at DHARAVI – Asia’s largest slum for 200 Disabled & Transgender people of the slum. The camp was attended by Smt. Varsha Gaikwad, Minister for Education, Maharashtra state. It was sponsored by Rotary Club of Queen City, Rotary Club of Bombay Worli of Rotary International District 3141 & Ratnanidhi Charitable Trust.
Present on the occasion were District Governor Rtn Rajendra Aggarwal, Rtn Dipti Rajda –President of RC Queen City, Mr. Rajiv Mehta, Trustee – Ratnanidhi Charitable Trust and other dignitaries & Rotarians.
The camp was inaugurated by Smt. Varsha Gaikwad, Minister for Education, Maharashtra. She appreciated the work done by Rotary & Ratnanidhi Trust during the Covid pandemic and discussed various education & health related projects to be done in Maharashtra in the next 12 months.
