February 10: McKinley Rice, one of India’s leading software development, talent-outsourcing, and tech-recruitment companies, has become a Great Place to Work™-certified workplace in 2022. This certification is in recognition of McKinley Rice’s consistent efforts in building a globalized-yet-united, employee-first organization. Over the years, McKinley Rice has bolstered their commitment towards creating a truly inclusive work culture where everyone can do their best work. This certification acknowledges the organization’s continuous efforts to live by their motto of ‘Tech Has No Borders, Neither Should You’, and demonstrates their belief in becoming the employer of choice within the industry.

In celebration of the momentous occasion, Kartikey Handa, Chief Operations and Growth Officer at McKinley Rice, said, “The New Year has brought with it some great news! Being certified as a Great Place to Work through the opinions of the people who know our company best, our employees, is a true honour. As an organization, we take pride in this achievement, and we strive to continue creating a winning culture at work and move forward together with our employees and clients alike”.

The Great Place to Work® certification is regarded as the ‘Gold Standard’ that organizations around the globe aspire to achieve. A significant achievement in itself, this certification recognizes a work environment conducive to employee growth and development, leadership skills of top management, employee empowerment, and a strong corporate culture. Based entirely upon real feedback from an organization’s employees, McKinley Rice required at least 70% of its employees to report a consistently positive experience within the company. Moreover, the organization has to meet a positive rate of 46% or higher and a Trust Index™ score of 65% or greater, as prerequisites.

McKinley Rice registered a whopping 79% on the Trust Indexâ„¢, with employees lauding the camaraderie between employees and management, the fairness with which the management deals with employee matters, and the respect they feel from the management as a whole.

92% of the employees feel that people care about each other in the organization, indicating a positive work culture where everyone feels like a part of one big family. To this effect, the company awards each employee with a personalised Personal Development Plan as an opportunity to enhance their skills at an individual, domain or organizational level, all paid for by them. They are dedicated to the cause of promoting diversity and inclusivity at all rungs of the company, championing equality in hiring to create an LGBTQIA-friendly workplace.

Each employee is chosen and evaluated based on a transparent point-based system– a system McKinley Rice employees believe in as 79% voted in favour of the management’s sense of justice and belief in equity. The employees also have a chance to redeem these points for exciting perks through their dedicated Employee Rewards Program.

“We will continue implementing positive employee-centric policies to create a stimulating workplace for all our employees to learn and grow in. We are targeting a 90% positive score in 2023 in place of 79% this year and hopefully, our efforts in this direction will make us a workplace our employees love to come to!” says Kartikey Handa.
