Recounting the events, Kshirsagar shares, “When the Philippine team arrived in batches late at night, there was chaos. One player landed hours earlier, others arrived around midnight, and confusion reigned. Despite delegating the task to me and providing his own car for the job, Tapan personally intervened when things got complicated.â€
In an extraordinary act of leadership, Tapan drove across Goa in the dead of night, ensuring each player was located and safely transported to their hotel. “By the time the players settled into their rooms at Ocean View Hotel, it was past 4 AM, but Tapan was still in touch, coordinating every step,†Kshirsagar marveled.
