Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], April 5: The Income Tax Sports and Recreation Club (ITS&RC) proudly celebrates the exceptional accomplishments of its athletes at the Senior National Karate Championship, held at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium, Hyderabad, from March 26th to 29th, 2025.

Aniket Gupta has once again demonstrated his excellence by securing both Gold and Silver medals, placing 1st and 2nd in his respective events. This remarkable feat marks Aniket’s 42nd medal in WKF and AKF affiliated official national championships since 2005, and reflects his unwavering consistency, as he has now won medals for 18 consecutive years.

Joining him in this celebration of success is Deepika Dhiman, who earned two Silver medals and one Bronze, achieving 2nd and 3rd positions in her categories. With this performance, Deepika’s tally rises to 30 medals in WKF and AKF affiliated national championships since 2009, marking her 15th consecutive year of podium finishes—an extraordinary testament to her dedication and perseverance.

The championship saw spirited participation from athletes representing 31 KIO-affiliated states, along with institutional teams including SSCB, ITBP, and Assam Rifles.

Organized under the aegis of the Government of Telangana, the event was supported by the Sports Authority of Telangana, Telangana Sports Council, and the State Karate Association. ITS&RC extends heartfelt thanks to KIO President Mr. Bharat Sharma , KIO General Secretary Sanjeev Kumar Jangra and KIO Vice President, TSKDA President, and PCC President Sh. B. Mahesh Goud, and to Mr. Shiva Sena Reddy, Chairman, Telangana Sports Council, for their invaluable contribution to the event’s success.

The championship was graced by the presence of distinguished dignitaries, including the Hon’ble Speaker of the Telangana Assembly, Sh. Gaddam Prasad Kumar, and Hon’ble Minister Sh. Ponnam Prabhakar, who attended as Chief Guests.

Our heartfelt congratulations to Aniket and Deepika on their remarkable achievements, and our best wishes as they prepare to represent the nation on the Asian stage. Their dedication continues to inspire us all.
