    Soldiers of Peace International Association (SPIA) Working On Betterment for Soldiers Post Military Service

    October 22: The Soldiers of Peace International Association, also known as SPIA, was established in 1988, according to French laws. This NGO obtained in 1995 a general consultative status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations. The goal of SPIA has been to extend on the humanitarian and diplomatic side the actions led by the Blue Helmets on the ground. SPIA main role also has been to help the former Blue Helmets (UN Mission Soldiers) to continue with their lives after their military service, to help them fight for their rights and contribute to keeping the memory of their actions alive.

    SPIA is composed of more than 50,000 members in 18 countries:

    Australia, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Ireland, Kenya, Mongolia, Norway, Poland, Russia, Senegal, Slovakia, Sweden, Ukraine, Hungary, Indonesia & now in India.

    Recently SPIA Delegation was formed in India with the signing of MOU between AISP HQ & AISP Indian Delegation. In this formation, special efforts were taken by Prof.Dr.Dinesh Sabnis on Indian Counterpart & by SPIA HQ International President Mr.Laurent Attar-Bayrou & International Vice President Albert Tibor.

    The Indian Delegation appointed committee consist of President-Mr. Pradeep Kumar Sharma(Indian Navy Veteran), Vice President-Mr.Ram Narayan Saini (Indian Army & UN Peacekeeper Veteran), CEO & Secretary General- Prof.Dr.Dinesh Sabnis (Senior Educationist), Jt.Secretary- Mr.Dileep Chand Yadav & Treasurer- Mr.Nitin Pandit.

    Member’s enrollment will be starting soon under various categories for AISP-SPIA Indian Delegation as given below:

    • Indian Peacekeepers (Current & Veterans)
    • Indian Defense Personals (Current & Veterans)
    • Civilians from India
    • Young Peacemakers (Students between the age group of 12yrs to 17yrs)
    • Organisations in India

    SPIA India will be working toward bringing all the UN Peace Soldiers of India under one roof of the SPIA Indian delegation. Also, programs & projects such as for Health, Sports, Young Peacemaker & Supporting Veterans will be arranged & promoted by SPIA Indian Delegation.
