Stavya consultants have conducted 3000 successful spine surgeries with advanced enabling technology (Integrated Operation Theatre Spine Suite, IOTSS)

Ahmedabad (Gujarat) [India], October 16: Stavya Spine Hospital and Research Institute (SSHRI) was established on October 4 2004. Stavya Spine hospital is a world leader in spine care, trusted by 18000 new patients for spine care every year. 1800 patients put their faith in us for spine surgery every year. We are proud to be one of the hospitals with the largest number of spine surgeries performed in India. We have an extensive database and a research team working for authentic Spine related research for our own Indian society.”

Real spine (Artificial human models) has been imported from Germany to train the surgeons at SSHRI. This activity on REAL SPINE models is happening first time ever in India at SSHRI. These models help trainees/fellows to create real-life surgery situations and help them improve their skills. It keeps away the shortcoming and disadvantages of cadaveric workshops, like formalin (preservative), burning eyes and spillage of tissues. Real OT instruments can be used for the practice.

“Today, Stavya is announcing Spine Health Checkup”. This includes clinical evaluation, MRI screening, full-length x-ray, DXA scan& use of the spinal mouse to evaluate posture. This will help any age group individual to correct their posture, attitude and diagnose the existing hidden condition.

For the last three years, we have operation theatres (Integrated Operation Theater Spine Suit = IOTSS) fully equipped with the latest technology named O-arm (Mobile CT scan machine with One-ton weight), Navigation machine with its tools, Bone Scalpel and Neuromonitoring (Two sets). It has successfully conducted over 3000 surgeries in IOTSS. This innovative technology has changed the practice scenario. Safety, precision by technology has given good outcome in various kinds of spine ailments. This is the only private centre in India owns two O Arm & Navigation machine (IOTSS).

Commenting on the milestone, Dr Bharat R. Dave, Stavya Spine Hospital and Research Institute, said, “To provide quality treatment to our patients, we at Stavya constantly keep ourselves updated with the latest, be it machines, operation theatre, expert surgeons or physical therapists. The advanced technology we adopted has been very successful in terms of precision in surgery, low level of risk, faster recovery, and affordable treatment. Compared to previous treatment methods, it has a “00” radiation risk to doctors, nurses, and supporting staff during the surgery.
